The Grading Design Handbook for Developers, Architects, Engineers and Designers

A word from the author

My hope for those who study this book is to elevate the quality, the aesthetics and the savings to the development community and to serve as a reference guide for all those who have shown an interest in the art and science of grading. For the designer I believe the simplicity, and the quality and aesthetics of your design will improve. For the architect and their team, a better understanding of the process of grading design allows them to engage the designer at a greater level in meeting their client’s needs. For the landscape architect, our brother in grading design, to elevate the teamwork between the two professions as well as to grasp a greater understanding of grading design. And for the builder, to arm them with the knowledge to decipher and suggest ways to reduce the site grading cost having gained a greater understanding of the process and options available.
